Community : About PSA
February PSA Meeting Minutes
PSA Mission [top]
The goal of the Parents Support Association [PSA] is to create a positive atmosphere of community within our school that furthers a
sense of team spirit and cultural enrichment. It also provides needed faculty and staff support, as well as financial support
through a variety of fundraisers held throughout the year. All Fox River parents and guardians are automatically members of
the Parents Support Association.
PSA Suggestion Boxes are located in the New Building on the book shelves as well as in the Main Building mailbox area. Everyone is
encouraged to make suggestions or offer input and ideas on any school issue. The Steering Committee will review these ideas once a
month and will post answers on the web site or bring items up at general PSA meetings.
The Advancement Office provides support for the Parents Support Association and its committees, as well as support for their special
events and fundraisers.
PSA Meetings [top]
General PSA meetings will be held as needed throughout the year, but likely once a term. An agenda for each of these meetings will be
distributed in advance of the meeting. All Fox River parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in these
meetings. Attendance at these meetings provides parents with valuable information about school happenings and issues and helps to
create a community that comes together socially and professionally driven by a common goal to make our school a better place for all
of our families.
Head of School Teas [top]
In addition to general PSA meetings, Interim Head of School Karen Morse will host periodic informal gatherings in the newly decorated
Alumni Room. These teas provide parents an opportunity to meet with Karen about whatever
issues or questions they might have during the school year. Everyone is welcome to join her and other parents in a friendly setting
to have a cup of coffee, juice or tea and share ideas about education, FRCDS issues, and any other pertinent topics.
