Dear Friends,

There is an Indian proverb ... that says that everyone is a house with four rooms: a physical, a mental, an emotional, and a spiritual. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time, but, unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.

At Fox River Country Day School, a safe and collaborative learning community dedicated to the education of the whole child, we are committed to having each of those rooms opened each day. Here is a school dedicated not only to academic learning but also to ethics, enrichment, and community. It is a place that honors goodness and agrees with the romantic poet, William Wordsworth that children arrive in this world "trailing clouds of glory." Its woods are lovely and deep, and its figurative walls have nearly a hundred years of warming stories to tell.
