Program : Preschool : Character Education
We are committed to contributing to the positive growth in character of each of our students, and
this work begins in Preschool and continues on through Grade 8. This focus impacts the way teachers
interact with students and the way students are encouraged to treat each other. It encompasses everything
from how we share toys in the sandbox to how we make good decisions about friendships and behavior. Our
list of Character Building Qualities gives the community a shared language, and these words are highlighted
throughout the curriculum when opportunities present themselves. They also are the basis of behavior
expectations. Preschool students talk regularly about these qualities with their
teachers. They learn about celebrating the goodness in each of their classmates.

"We were pleased to find that the character building qualities stressed in your curriculum echo what we are trying
to instill at home. Furthermore, on visits to the campus, we have been impressed by the friendly, joyful attitude
expressed by students, faculty, and staff."
